Case Study

About 600 m2 of electrocenters manufactured in a period of only five months

A delivery that brought together challenges of electrical arrangement, logistics and transportation

Mining

From crushing to transport, solutions with great experience of the processes

Project Data

DIMENSION

590m²

electrocentre

A unit dedicated to milling, with 425 m², and another dedicated to filtering, with 155 m²

5 months

from order to delivery

Two months to elaborate the project and three months to build, with work in shifts and on weekends

TIME TO MARKET

4 months

abatement

If a masonry installation was chosen, the construction would take at least 9 months

Context and Challenges

An important mining company urgently needed electrocentres that took up less space than the models found in the market, due to a reduced space in the plant. The deadline was only five months, and the compact layout was to accommodate the following equipment:

  1. 129 panel columns, between medium voltage cubicles, low voltage QDs, LV MCCs, inverters, automation panel, and lighting boards
  2. Pressurization systems, air conditioning system (VAC), fire detection and fighting, lighting, access control and closed circuit TV
  3. Certified panels for low and medium voltage
  4. Two battery rooms
  5. Active Type Harmonics Filter

Solutions Used and Equipment Provided

We made the electrical arrangements so as to leave the electrocentres compact without interference between the disciplines.

The mechanical team worked in two 9-hour shifts, the electrical team in single shift, but also including weekends.

The transport was done using 8 sets of mechanical horses and special trailers detaching the axle line type trailer, besides two beaters. The final stretch, for including a historic town, had to be done at dawn.
